Carlson Mules by Dr. Martens

Wherever. Whenever. The Carlson slip-on is all about versatility. And this new faux fur-lined edition takes it into the winter months. Halfway between a shoe and a sandal, the closed-toe sandals are crafted from EH Suede with a natural sherpa fleece lining and fitted with antique gold hardware, an adjustable back strap and our unmistakable yellow welt stitching. They can be worn fully fastened or as a slip-on. It's up to you.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Normie_X1 from Great shoes - until you try toi live with them I've had these for nearly 12 months and they've become those shoes that I look at and just wish were more comfortable than they are. They were great in the store, soft suede and air soles combining to absolutely nail the walk-round. However, their poor design made itself known after just a couple of times worn. The strap which can go round the back or over the top is soo soft it is always in the way when you put them on. The suede uppers have nothing to keep their shape either, so also get in the way when putting the shoes on, particularly the small bits on either side. And there's no shape to the footbed so I get blisters and callouses from my feet hanging over the side of the shoe. They are too expensive to have so many flaws, especially as fixing them all would probably be a matter of moments at the design and manufacture stage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Hekeng from Surprisingly comfy Love a dr Martin, saw these but wasn’t quite sure due to all the faff of bedding them in, ordered took 2 hours around the house to get my feet used to them worn them everyday since very comfy, on the slightly small size could half done with half a size bigger length ways but was wasn’t a deal breaker, but thinking of getting the beige colour definitely recommended ( shame Dr Martin don’t do boots as comfy as these)

I was a little worried about some of the reviews saying they come up small. For me they are perfect and completely true to size. They arrived and I have not taken them off since, no breaking in and so so so comfortable. I am going to be getting the lighter colour as well, dont hesitate they are heaven!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Swiftylala from Really comfy and smart, but cute I loved these when I first saw them on someone in a Doc Martens store and now I've nabbed a pair in the sale. Very happy! I don't have problems with the strap falling down like some have mentioned. I'll be wearing them more in spring with cute little socks and bare foot. My feet are a bit wide and these don't pinch at all. Bouncy and springy to walk in.

They look great with or without socks and will be brilliant with bright colours in the Spring. Perfect for the office or with jeans at the weekend. I now want more in another colour!

These look amazing on with a range of outfits…I’m also super surprised at how comfortable they are too. And I love how they can be worn with and without the strap on the back. I’ll rate these a solid 10/10 x

I've always favourited my Dr Martens boots, very specific about my style, when i saw these and at the bargain price i had to have these too! Suit every possible outfit, and are super comfy just like all their other footwear. Debating whether to get some in more colours!
